How to Choose Your Faithwood Time Slot

Choosing your ceremony time doesn’t need to be complicated. At Faithwood, we offer two wedding sessions per day between sunrise and sunset, and the easiest way to find your perfect time is often to work backwards from what you’re doing afterwards.

Start with sunset

Planning portraits after your ceremony? We recommend working backwards from sunset so your photographer can make the most of the beautiful last hour of light called “Golden Hour”.

For example, if sunset is at 5:54pm:

2:30–4:30pm Faithwood ceremony session
4:30–5pm Travel + parking
5–6pm Portrait session

When you enquire, let us know you’re considering portraits afterwards. This helps us recommend the best available Faithwood session for your plans.

Or, work backwards from your reception

Already have your reception booked? Start there instead.

For a reception beginning at 6:30pm, your afternoon might look like:

2:15–4:15pm Faithwood ceremony session
4:15–4:45pm Travel + parking
4:45–5:45pm Portrait session
5:45–6:15pm Travel to your reception
6:30pm Reception begins

We always recommend leaving a little breathing room. Parking, toilet breaks, checking phones, coordinating guests and simply moving through your wedding day without rushing all take time.

Weekday or weekend?

Saturdays are our peak wedding days, particularly throughout spring and summer, and popular dates can book well in advance.

A weekday wedding can be a beautiful alternative. Adelaide is often quieter, venues can be easier to move between, and the whole day can have a wonderfully relaxed feel.

Fridays are particularly popular, giving your guests the option of taking the day off and turning your wedding into a long weekend.

What if we don't mind what time we get married?

Even better.

If you have your heart set on a particular date but aren’t fussed about the time, tell us when you enquire. We can show you the available sessions and help you choose the one that works best.

If you already know you’ll be having portraits afterwards, have a reception booked, or need to travel further between locations, include that too.

With just a few clicks

Tell us:

Your first preferred date + time
Your second preferred date + time
Whether you’re considering portraits afterwards
Any reception or travel times we need to work around

We’ll help with the rest.

Registry simple. Wedding special.
